Halloween is almost here and the Holidays will
be upon us in no time. I hear many of my friends and
family members already discussing Christmas and what they will
or will not be doing. What I find interesting is usually
people discuss the gift giving with such heavy energy and dread.
The spirit of the giving was to the Messiah, who's parents had
nothing.
I wonder if we had the same spirit of giving to
those that have nothing as if they were the Messiah (which they
are) if it would somehow change the energy around giving.
Giving to those that already have so much is always a chore,
because how many more shirts or watches does one need?
Sai Baba says, "I have come to you to make you
desireless". Often when people hear that there maybe 2
distinct interpretations, one is to desire less than what you
already do and the other is to "be" desireless or have not one
desire. Which is the more holy?
I think Jesus had something important to say
when he said something like, "Dwell in the kingdom of God and
let the rest be built around you." He also said, "My
father's house has 7 mansions". These mansions lie within
you, your seven chakras, so dwell in the Father's mansion he
gave you, the perfect being that you are, and be still in the
place. Be still and know that you are God.
Give from your heart this season, not from
obligation or fear of rejection. There are many of our
brothers and sisters who have less whom we could provide.
Derek's Foundation is one of the websites that you can donate
for someone instead of a gift and there are many more out in the
world. What a wonderful gift to give someone to tell them
they have just saved a life. Have a wonderful blessed
Holiday Season!!! |
